Todd was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He attended high school at Oak Forest Christian Academy and joined the Marine Corps shortly after graduation in 1981.
During his 24 years in the Marine Corps, Todd traveled to Hong Kong, The Philippines, Australia, Thailand, Korea, and Singapore. Todd lived in Hawaii, Burma, Thailand, Japan, North Carolina, Illinois, Virginia and California.
While assigned to the American Embassy in Rangoon, Burma in 1984, Todd met Catherine Giannoulatos. Catherine's parents were diplomats with the French Embassy in Rangoon. They became engaged in Rangoon, and Catherine subsequently moved with her family to Bangkok, Thailand. Todd received orders to the American Embassy in Bangkok a few months later, and Todd and Catherine married on May 30th of 1987 in Bangkok.
They were subsequently stationed in Quantico, Virginia, Danville, Illinois, Jacksonville, North Carolina, and on the island of Okinawa, Japan.
Todd retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant in June of 2005, and they remained on the island of Okinawa, Japan for about a year and a half after his retirement.
In November of 2006 we answered the call to missions and came to Bacolod City on the island of Negros in the Republic of the Philippines.
Todd is pastor of The House of Worship located in Silay City.
