"Crashing The Gates"

On Friday evenings we have a "Fellowship Service" where we have 2-3 worship songs, a short devotional, then we show a movie for the children.  As you can see from the picture above, we have people waiting at the gate of the church for the doors to open.

Our mandate is "Worship through praise, prayer, preaching, giving, and FELLOWSHIP.  Friday evening helps us in fulfilling the fellowship element of that statement.

Why Friday Night?

The aim of the Friday night program is to get the children used to coming to the church, provide them an alternative on Friday evenings, and reach out into the local community.

The sad reality is that this is an impoverished area, and showing a simple film is a real treat for the young people of the neighbourhood.

We are aware that the body of this church 10-15 years from now rest within the children of the community, and the Friday evening effort is a way to get them used to being in the church.

We Are Growing!

The House is full on Friday evening, and we have about as many attend Sunday morning.  We are praying for the funds to build a bamboo structure for the Sunday school for the children.

We currently host the children on Sunday in the open area in front of the church, which causes logistical problems with the adult service.
