Feeding the Poor

The area we minister in is one of the most depressed areas in the city of Silay.  Many of the people fish for their daily food.  If they rise early, but catch nothing, their either do not eat, or they keep fishing until they do catch something.

Many people cannot come to church if they have not caught their daily catch.

By providing a meal on Sunday we enable people to attend worship without worrying how or if they will eat that day.

For many, this is the best meal of the week for them.

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?

- James 2:15-16
