I guess this story started back in the late 1980's when Sergeant Greg Anderson and I served together in the Marines at the helicopter squadron that flies the president.
A short while ago Greg sent me an email and relayed how he did a Google search and discovered our missionary adventures in the Philippines. Greg explained how he had given his life to The Lord and how he and his wife were involved in their local church.
In July of last year we featured a local school in our monthly newsletter. Greg's wife, Cheryl, was touched by the lack of resources the children of the Philippines have. She made it her mission to improve upon the library of this school.

Cheryl coordinated with her Sunday school class at Trinity United Church of Christ in Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania as well as her place of work at Lehigh Gas Corporation to conduct a book drive. She further enlisted the help of Quirk Inc., Slate Belt Child Care Center, and Synergy Environmental to make this a reality.
In February we received a shipment of 36 boxes of books. You can see from the picture that I had my hands full sorting them out. |  |
 | I had the pleasure of delivering books to a local orphanage, two local schools, a school teacher who teaches at a remote school in the mountains and books to our Sunday school teacher for use in our own Sunday school.
The local community would like to thank Cheryl and all those that made this possible.
It is making a difference in the local schools and community, as well as the local church!
