Angels Workshop

The ministry in Don Salvador is a rewarding one for us to be involved in. We are able to participate in "practical ministry" where we get to show the love of Jesus in a tangible way.

We are able to provide over 400 servings of nutritious food, vitamins and milk each week to the needy of this community. For most, this is the only meat they will have all week, and certainly the only milk or vitamins they will receive.

In order to harness our resources and organize our efforts, we have labeled the outreach aspects of the Don Salvador ministry under the umbrella of
"The Angels Workshop"

This includes our feeding, literacy and livelihood programs.

The ministry efforts in this area include a weekend worship service; weekly men's and women's Bible study; values training for the youth; livelihood program; literacy program and feeding programs.

The Angels of our ministry are the hands and feet that enable the wonderful things in Don Salvador to happen. They give unselfishly of their time and talents.

Tuesday morning I was walking the path leading to the church when a young girl rushed up to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I asked her if there was school today. She replied "yes". I asked her if she was going to school today. She replied "yes".

I was confused for a second because she was not at school, but at the church for the livelihood program.

Then I understood ...

She considers our Tuesday educational program to be her school because her parents do not send her to regular school.
